Self Help Information
What is a Debtor? A debtor is a person, company, or other entity that owes money. In other words, the debtor has a debt or legal obligation to pay the amount owed. If you are representing yourself without the benefit of an attorney, you are known as a “pro se” debtor.
Bankruptcy laws can be complicated, and debtors should, if possible, obtain help from an attorney or a legal aid service experienced in bankruptcy law. The information contained in this page is not intended to advise you of your legal rights or responsibilities.
