The Clerk's Office of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California is accepting applications for its full-time, permanent Chief Deputy Clerk position. The Chief Deputy Clerk is an executive-level position. In partnership with the Clerk of Court and the position's direct reports, the incumbent has responsibility for all administrative and operational elements of the Clerk's Office.

LOCATION: SACRAMENTO, CA

The successful candidate will serve as law clerk to the Honorable Thomas C. Holman. Judicial law clerks are primarily responsible for legal research and the preparation of orders, memoranda and draft opinions. A demonstrated interest in bankruptcy law is preferred. This position is located in Sacramento, CA and is for a two year term.

POSITION: JUDICIAL ASSISTANT TO A FEDERAL JUDGE
LOCATION: SACRAMENTO, CA
FILING DEADLINE: November 20, 2009

This position is located in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of California, and reports directly to the appointing Bankruptcy Judge. Judicial Assistants assist the judge in fulfilling judicial responsibilities, carry out the judge’s instructions, and assist in the day-to-day conduct of court business. In addition to traditional secretarial duties, this position deals with attorneys and members of the public on behalf of the judge.
