Judicial Opinions Issued After April 16, 2005 This page provides access to the substance of all written opinions issued after April 16, 2005 by the judges of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California, regardless of whether such opinions are to be published in the official court reporter, in text searchable format as required by the E-Government Act of 2002, Pub. L. No. 107-347. For the purposes of the E-Government Act, a “written opinion” is defined as any document issued by a judge or judges of the court, sitting in that capacity, that sets forth a reasoned explanation for a decision of the court. It is not intended to include routine, non-substantive orders such as scheduling orders or rulings on motions for extension of time. Every reasonable effort is made to insure that the text of the text-searchable version of each opinion available from this web page is identical to the official version issued by the judge and included in the official record.
